Birthday and Baptism

I am sorry it has been so long. The Pankow house has been a mad house. Here is our crazy life in bullet points:

- Me back to work full time
- a two year old
- celebrating two year old's birthday
- a three almost 4 month old
- baptizing George
- stomach bug, more on this later
- ear infection
- Christmas

Well we celebrated William's 2nd birthday. Is that not crazy. He has been in our lives for two years. He is the funniest little guy. He keeps Rich and I laughing all the time. He loves music and dancing, well marching like an elephant around the kitchen island. When we are getting on to him he will cut his eyes at you and blink them really fast. He is so sweet and loving at the same time. And the boy can eat.

We had a great party with lots of family and friends. The doughnut holes were a hit with the kids and the bloody mary's and mimosas were a hit with the adults. William loved having all of his family and friends over. I am still working on the birthday favors. I had each child make a brown thumb print and we then drew antlers and put a red nose and made reindeer. On the other side we have their name and I need to print off pictures and put them in a clear acrylic key chain holder. I took the key chain off and put a red ribbon and they will be ornaments. There are really cute.

The baptism was beautiful. George wore the same gown William wore. My mom has sewn in their initials and birth date and baptism date on the slip. We had to send William out in the middle of the baptism. He had enough of being proper. George did not like the water but was fine once Pastor Jack started walking him around and showing him off as everyone sang Away In a Manager. It was beautiful.

William with George's paci, I guess he is having a conservation with God maybe praying that his mom would not dress him this way anymore. But his mommy is not listening. :)

My sweet friends who came and supported us. It will always be a beautiful image in my mind seeing them sitting behind us.

This was my grandfathers', Calvin Oliver Smith, cap that he wore when he was baptised and his grandmother made it for him. William and George have both worn it.
