St. Simons Girls Trip...plus William

I met my cousins in St. Simons Island, Georgia three weeks ago, it just took me forever to get this posted. We had so much fun. This is the beach that our mothers grew up going to every summer. We have spent many vacations together here throughout our lives, so it was neat to take our children.

But first, a little back ground information. Below is a picture of my mom and her sisters, my aunts. From left to right, Nancy (middle sister), Linda (oldest), and my mom, Janet (the baby). I am not sure how old they are in the picture but they all look beautiful. Don't you just love the shoes.

Below are my cousins, we were trying to recreate the picture above. (left to right) Lynn is Linda's youngest daughter, Leigh is Nancy's daughter, and Suzanne is Linda's oldest daughter. We went to Europe together, about 12 years ago. We had so much fun.

Here is the only picture from the trip of the four of us. I took the pictures from our Europe trip to the beach and we stayed up way too late looking at them and laughing about the trip and the way we were dressed and our hair. Although, I am realizing mine still looks the same. Maybe time for a change.

So now we have all had children and we wanted to get them all together. I am the only one of the four to have a boy. Below is William, Sydney (Suzanne's daughter) and Olivia (Lynn's daughter). The kids had so much fun together. The girls, all the girls, were not sure what to think of Wild Man William! We went walking on the pier and I was running after William, afraid he was just going to jump right off into the ocean. I look back and Suzanne, Sydney, Lynn and Olivia are walking hand in hand enjoying the night.... Boys will be boys.

We loved the fact that the condo had this huge tub. We put all the kids in and bathed them at once. They loved it! Leigh's daughter, Analyse, is in the middle looking right at the camera, then Sydney, Olivia, and William.

Of course we had to do some shopping. Sydney came home looking like a princess!

William decided she needed to be escorted down the hall!

We just enjoyed hanging out and catching up. Nancy, mom and dad, could not stand to have us so close and not come visit. Especially if the Texas girls were in town (Suzanne, Sydney, Lynn and Olivia).

Alyssa joined us for the weekend. She is the one sitting on the couch holding the red bag. Alyssa is Josh's daughter. Josh is Leigh's brother. (Is anyone still following all of this???)

The kids got so excited when about 15 sail boats went past us. We think they were having a race.

The kids also did a lot of this. And if one had something they all had to have it!

We had a lot of fun swimming and playing on the beach. Not sure who took the beach pictures but it was not me.

We had a great meal out at the Crab Trap. Although, not that easy with 4 kids. Thanks Pop, Dad, Frank for the wonderful meal.

We were sad to leave, the kids had so much fun playing together. So until next time....

Moss/Pankow Beach Trip

We had the best time at the beach. The weather was perfect, the water was beautiful but the people were the BEST!!! William and Taylor had so much fun together. They woke up asking for each other and we had to show each one that the other was going "night night" at the end of the day!

I cannot tell you how long it takes to get four babies lathered up with sunscreen, beach bags packed, coolers packed, toys packed and all down to the beach. We had some great baby sitters that helped.

Taylor and William ready to play in the sand!

Taylor: "William, what are you doing?"
William: "Checking out the ladies!"

Taylor: "Well, if you do not get out from under the umbrella, you are going to blind them with your porcelain white skin."

So before we did the above, this is what happened. We were getting sunscreen on the kids. When Taylor offered to help.

She got William in the headlock (not the last time this happened this week) and rubbed it all over his face. We still had not gotten bathing suits on them yet.

William helping Taylor.

They got really tickled by the whole thing and started dancing and laughing all over the place. It was hysterical.

John loving on his babies.

This is the face we got every time we told William we wanted to take a picture.

We had to bribe William to sit on the bench and take the above picture. See below his bribe.

Have you ever seen a cuter sweet potato face!

George crawled up to see if there were any left overs.

Rich getting a little air!

Like Father like Son.

This is what William would do every time he got out of the pool. There were these two holes in the cement, I guess where another ladder had been at some point, William would get the water coming off his bathing suit to go into the holes. It looked like he was pee peeing. We got some strange looks!

Rawlings outfit and George's bathing suit matched. It took Susan and I almost all day before we realized this!

We saw so many dolphins going by and the kids loved it! They would get so excited each time they saw one!

It was so nice having the pool to jump into. The ocean water got a little cold. Taylor is such a good swimmer. She and William must have jumped off these steps a 100 times.

Rich keeps calling George "Buck Teeth"!

It was so much fun watching these two play!

How beautiful are these two.

So we went to do our annual family picture. My mom had made the kids outfits. William and Taylor were not that interested in getting a great picture.

Taylor: "William, lets play catch."

William: "OK, you cannot catch me!"

Taylor: "Oh yes I can."

William: "You got my sandy."

Taylor: "I am sorry, let me help you up."

William: "NOOOOO!"

Taylor helping Rawlings. At least someone appreaciated her help. George would have, check out Susan's blog with pictures of the same night.

She might be mischievous, but she sure is adorable!

Another year down! We had so much fun!

The picture below is from our first trip. Look at how our families and children have grown.
